In 2020 we were asked to be involved in the regeneration project of Network Rail’s Holbeck Depot in Leeds. Their aspirations for the site included the driving down of energy expenditure, reducing their carbon emissions and demonstrating a positive approach to tackling climate change. Oakwood Energy were able to offer them a bespoke solution which catered to their needs and aspirations for the project at a competitive price.
The proposed system would provide a Return-on-Investment period of less than 6 years, with the solar array generating an average of over 50 MWh per year. This would reduce their annual energy expenses by 25%. Additionally, they would be able to reduce their carbon footprint by over 30,000 kg per year.
